Anatomy + Kinesiology

Discover the importance of the myofascial chains.... they have everything to do with why you move the way you do, while holding your muscle and emotional memories. Learn to asses predictable tension patterns and develop movement protocol to facilitate release, relief and re-patterning. 

Innovation

You'll learn techniques and strategies based in the principles of Structural Integration, Alignment-Based Yoga, Self Myofascial Release, and Somatic Experiencing blended together for a functional, relatable approach you'll love to integrate into daily life and your important work. 

Key Concepts from this Program:

Weeks 1-5 you'll work through personal care techniques to unwind and re-pattern your body with yoga, self myofascial release, mobility work. 

This is your time to be well taken care of and dive into your healing process. Become more stable and mobile, with less pain. 

Most of your efforts will be on your mat and in your body's experience. 


We start at the foundation, and build. It's pointless to patch the crack in the wall if your foundation is crumbling. This is strategic. We set foundations, create freedom and balance, and then we go deep.  


Week 1) Feet

Week 2) Hips & Breath

Week 3) Pelvic Floor

Week 4) Core & Low Back

Week 5) Shoulders & Neck 


 

There will be integration / catch-up week between personal and practitioner content! No new content will be delivered and we will meet as a group to process.

 


Weeks 6-10 you'll dive back in to the same territory. But this time through the lens of a practitioner. You'll not only understand the related anatomy and pathology, but also learn how to share it and feel confident you are guiding others well. 

Week 6 ) Feet for Practitioners

  • Assessing and addressing different foot patterns 
  • Common related issues to foot complaints 
      1. Bunions
      2. Plantar fasciitis 
      3. “Fallen arches”  
      4. Lower leg & ankle mobility  
      5. Knee issues 
  • Teaching foot health to encourage patient compliance (this will make even YOU excited about more foot work)

 

week 7 ) Practitioners Hips & Breath

  • How to handle when something hurts or feels stiff Right Now
  • How to work out of the stiff and tight cycle strategically for less wear and tear later
  • Learn when and how to look elsewhere for bigger patterns that are keeping your hips tight

Week 8) Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and Rebuilding 

  • Death to Kegels 
  • How to Talk about Pelvic Floor Health without it feeling weird
  • Understanding Pelvic Organ Prolapse, Incontinence and their relationship to alignment 
  • How to communicate the holistic, whole-body impact of the least talked about area of the body

 

Week 9) The Core/Low-Back Connection for Practitioners

  • No more sit ups, no more crunches
  • Functional core strength, breath and adaptability 
  • Understand why deep core engagement requires a responsive pelvic floor and shoulder mobility.  (This is your patient's solution to finally relieving their tight low back for good)
  • Unlocking the "back line" tension strategies
  • Balancing front and back body for postural ease 

 Week 10)  Practitioners Upper Girdle

  • DIY Tension headache relief: isolate the source and use less ibuprofen
  • Assessment and treatment plans for common shoulder, arm, neck patterns
  • Understand shoulder mobility and organization for more efficiency and upper body strength
  • How to make whole body changes while addressing specific complaints in the upper body
